YOUR TASKS:

After an in-service event (hard landing, runway excursion of flight in turbulence, for example) it is necessary to provide a loads assessment in order to ease and help optimise the definition of the inspections list and to state on main structural components serviceability. Depending on event severity, whilst loads analyses are on-going, the aircraft stays on ground causing operational and economic issues to the involved airline company (and to passengers). For this reason, it is essential to provide a feedback in the shortest delay in order to put the aircraft back into service as soon as possible.

The aim of this internship is to develop simplified yet accurate methods to rapidly compute loads on main structural components and improve existing in-house tools for preliminary assessment after an in-service event.

A literature survey of existing methods will be carried out to identify the most suitable candidates for industrial applications. The methodologies thus identified will be implemented and validated using test cases and certifications results.

You are currently preparing a masterdegree or you are currently doing a gap year while your masterdegree in the aeronautic engineering domain. You can show these next skills and abilities:
