Beginning date expected: March/April, 2018
Emaneo is hiring for its client ATR.
Toulouse, Southern France based turboprop aircraft manufacturer ATR is the world leader in the market for regional aircraft up to 90 seats. Established in November 1981, ATR is a joint partnership between two major European aeronautics players: Airbus and Leonardo.
ATR has sold more than 1,500 aircraft and has over 200 operators in more than 100 countries.
Every 8 seconds, an ATR turboprop takes off or lands somewhere around the world.
Activity domain: Aircraft preliminary design, aerodynamics, propulsive efficiency, A/C systems, costs analysis
This 6 months internship will be focused on evaluating the gains to be expected from different disruptive technologies in terms of overall A/C efficiency. The multi-disciplinary studies to be performed will be carried out with the available preliminary design toolset. Engineering judgment will be required to find the best A/C configuration as a trade-off between:
- Weights (systems and structure)
- Efficiency of propulsive system (distributed, BLI…)
- Systems architectures
The performance of the resulting A/C planned for 2030-2035 will be compared against current Top Level Aircraft Requirements (TLARs) for final evaluation.
